the browvolution

I've had many styles of brows over the years, some bad, some good for a long time I didn't fill in my brows and when I first started they were pretty rubbish. My natural brows have always been really thin and I must admit I am guilty of having over plucking them and also when I was younger even shaving them off.

Its only been the last year or so that I've taken more time over my brows and have started to try grow them back. I wanted to share with you guys my browvolution (brow evolution). I'm no makeup artist but I like doing makeup. I think I've gotten better over time, and hope to continue improving and to share my knowledge with you guys.

So just for you here is my "browvolution"...

My  natural brows (before i started filling them in)....

when I started filling in my brows they were thin and over plucked and very drawn in....
My brows now... A lot fuller and look more natural I think...
As I said I've been trying to grow my brows and I use L'Oreal lash renewal serum on them twice a day to help them grow, I've also stopped plucking them so much.

To fill them in I use Revlon's vital radiance brow powder on a small angled brush to add more definition to them then lightly go over them with a clear mascara, and a brown mascara (I use the 2 True instant colour mascara, as it has a small wand, great for doing brows) to add colour to the hairs.

So there you have it my browvolution, thanks for reading and have a great day.

Cookies!!!!

Hey guys so I recently posted a photo on Instagram of some cookies I made and omg are they tasty, I got the recipe from viviannadoesmakeup's blog but thought I would share it with you guys.

Triple Chocolate Cookies,
Makes 12:
200g unsalted butter, 300g caster sugar, 1 large egg, 275g self-raising flour, 75g cocoa powder, three BIG bars of chocolate (white, milk and dark), a splash of milk.

Throw your butter into a bowl and whizz it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften, take out and add in the sugar. Mix with a spoon or electric whisk until creamy. Crack in an egg and mix some more, then throw in your dry ingredients: self-raising flour (no need to sift), cocoa powder and chocolate bars broken down into squares. Things might seem a little dry at this point so lug in a few drops of milk to combine the mixture into more of a dough if needed. Line two trays with baking paper, scoop the mixture into 12 handfull size balls and place far apart on the tray. Pop in a preheated fan oven at 220°C (200°C for non-fan) for 10 minutes. They will be super sloppy still when you remove them, but leave them to cool for around 30 minutes (if you can wait that long!), and they will stiffen up ready for your cookie eating pleasure.
Enjoy!

ebay eyeliner pen

I'm rubbish with liquid liner so when I came across this liner pen I immediately wanted to try one. I know there are many liner pens on the market. This one was from eBay  and was only 99p, the payoff of this product is really good and is waterproof  so last all day without budging.

it has a very thin nib so is excellent for getting a thin line close to the lash line or can be used to make a thicker  more dramatic look and the nib helps to give a more precise application so even a dummy like me can get great results from it.
Overall I'd say this is a really good product and I would give it 4/5.

Ok so I hoped you enjoyed this post.

film review

hi guys,
this isn't going to be a beauty related post like i would normally do, but instead is my thoughts on a film i have recently seen. the film in question is Stitches a 2012 British/Irish horror movie directed by Conor McMahon andstarring RossNoble,TommyKnight andGemma-LeahDevereux.

Theplot concerns a birthday clown returning from the dead to exactrevenge upon a group of children who contributed to his death. This film sticks to the stereotypical conventions of the slashergenre, butembraces stitches inherently unfunny party tricks to dispose of thechildren who are now teens.

This film has all the gore you'd expectbut does it in such away that you'll not be able to stop yourselffrom laughing. I really enjoyed this film and found it more funny than scary but is still worth a watch.
Thisunfortunately was more a straight to DVD than a major blockbuster butis definitely worth a look if you enjoy horror that doesn't really take itself very seriously. Ross noble is fantastic in this role. Ithink he's hilarious anyway but there’s something about his already twisted comedy compliments the character of stitches, to make him sinisterly funny.
Thisis an excellent film more funny than scary I give it 4/5...

if this sounds like your kind of film, check out the trailer here...

til next time, byee
